Call the Law Office of Guy Seligman if you have a revoked or suspended Florida drivers license or CDL license. He can also help people out of state who cannot get a license where they currently live due to a Florida suspended license or cannot get a Florida drivers license due to a suspension in another state.

Florida is a member of the National Driver Registry (“NDR”). The NDR links all of the states together through a national database. Therefore, when you are suspended from one state, any other state will honor that suspension and not issue you a driver’s license. Recently we have been dealing with people who have out of state suspensions that date back 10-15 years. Although you may have a valid Florida license in your possession, you will not be able to renew that license once it expires unless you clear up the out of state suspension(s). The best way to determine which state has a hold on your license is to contact DHSMV in Tallahassee at 850-922-9000 and give them your driver’s license number. They will then provide you contact information for the DMV that is issuing your suspension.

Remember  driving with a suspended or revoked license charges  will get your  Florida drivers licenses suspended for 5 years.  If you receive 3 Florida suspended license convictions within 5 years, your Florida drivers license will be suspended for five years labeled as a Habitual Traffic Offender.

You should  never wait until you receive a letter from the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (DMV or FDHSMV) telling you that your drivers license is being suspended for 5 years as a habitual traffic offender.  If you have been convicted of driving on a suspended license three times within a five-year period, the Florida DMV will suspended your license as a habitual traffic offender.  Call the law office of Guy Seligman if you are currently driving in Florida with a suspended or revoked drivers license.
